It should be realized as of now that The Tail of the Dragon, though adventurous and awe-inspiring can be one of the more dangerous roads on Earth. On any given day a traveler may be awarded only thrills and beauty or injury and even death. It can be treacherous and fellow motorists can be negligent. This is mountainous terrain that can offer blind curves concealing slower or disabled vehicles, untethered wildlife as well as boulders and trees that eat cars. The very same appeal that distinguishes her from a safe, flat, level street with adequate visibility and guardrails is exactly what makes her so risky. Registering to be a part of an organized event does not make you safer by any index; the event is organized, not the road.

By registering here, on line, or in person at the event, you agree to waive, release, indemnify and hold harmless RVD, any of its associated car clubs, and any and all event organizers, planners, volunteers, sponsors, or partners (the Releasees) from any and all liability, claims, and causes of action, including attorneys’ fees and/or court costs for injuries to you or your party and from any and all liability, claims, and causes of action, including attorneys’ fees and/or court costs, arising from – now and hereafter – you or your party’s acceptance of first aid treatment at RVD, including but not limited to negligence claims. You hereby consent to administration of first aid, other medical treatment, and transportation in the event of any injury or illness. You hereby release and indemnify the Releasees from any and all liability or claims arising out of such treatment. This release extends to any liability arising out of, or in any way connected with the medical treatment and/or transportation.
